VNET peering

I´m currently rebuilding my demo environment and I already have S2S VPN up and running between my datacenter and Microsoft Azure. Next thing what I´m planning to install is Azure Site Recovery (with VMM). I wanted to create own VNET for the DR purposes in Azure so I´m going to configure VNET peering between ASR VNET and the VNET which has the VPN connection to the on-premises. WAP tenant portal cannot see VMs or virtual networks

few days ago I saw tenant portal which was not able to see any of my networks or VMs.
Started to investigate problem and noticed on server which has Tenant site role following error message:

List logical network error. subscription id:{eb0408fb-7843-4fcd-92b5-24f5a8e3bbdc}, error message:Microsoft.Azure.Portal.JsonException: Error Message: The type or name syntax of the registry key value IndigoTcpPort under Software\Microsoft\Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager Administrator Console\Settings is incorrect.

Update rollup 3 for System Center 2012 R2 Virtual Machine Manager is now available

for example following issues are fixed on Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2.

  • Total storage for a User role is reported incorrectly. For example, the User role can use only half of the allowed quota.
  • A host cluster update fails intermittently because of a locked job.
  • Virtual machine (VM) refreshers do not update highly available virtual machines (HAVMs) after failover to another node.
  • A cluster IP address for a guest cluster configuration in a Hyper-V Network Virtualization (HNV) environment is not updated correctly by using HNV policies during failover. For more information about this issue, see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base

How to remove VMhost manually

This blog post describes how to remove VMHost manually if you are not able to do it via VMM console. We had one host which we were not able to remove from VMM. If we tried to refresh Host details we only got error message like :

Error (2931)
VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the VMM agent on the virtualization server (host1.virtualstation.local) was lost.

Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2 basic network configuration steps 1/2

This blog post describes how to configure basic fabric network to Virtual Machine Manager 2012 R2. We are going to create two different host group. One for Management cluster and one for Tenant cluster. 
Both groups will be have Hyper-V cluster which will be managed by VMM.

In this case we will have Management network as native and all other networks as trunk.
