This blogpost will continue earlier blogpost which we made to configure netoworks via VMM. We got lot of questions regarding next part and here it is. First post can be found HERE
Just for to summarize we now have the following logical networks and IP Pools:
And I assume that you have already created VM networks for the following logical networks. If not, please do like down under:
Next we we need to create new uplink port profile:
Select needed logical networks:
Second step is the create Logical Switch:
Select uplink mode (Team or no uplink team) and add earlier created uplink
Add port classifications (not necessary, but recommended)
More details can be found from my friend Kristian Nese´s blogpost HERE
Here is example which we used
Logical Switch created:
If you haven´t already added any Hyper-V host under VMM, please do it and continue then from here. Next we will configure logical switch to host:
add new logical switch:
If you choose to use Team, select correct nics and uplink port profiles.
Then we will need to add vNICs. First management vNIC. As Management is our only native VLAN and we want to keep current IP address we will choose following settings:
Then cluster vNic. As you can see we are now get IP address from IP pool.
and finally Live-Migration vNIC
And apply. You can see the current status from Jobs:
and after it´s done from host:
If you are creating Hyper-V cluster, repeat these steps to both host.
Then you can start creating Cluster
Add all needed nodes and select IP Pool
Configure needed storage:
Check the summary and you are done!
Hope this helps you to get understanding of the configuration steps.
