Azure Site Recovery with SAN replica, create/move VMs under protection

This blog post contain following steps
create new VM under ASR SAN Replica protection
move existing vm under ASR SAN Replica protection 

First scenario: Install new virtual machine directly as protected

Start creating VM on production site

Use image and give name to VM

As we are using Hyper-V cluster you need to choose High availability

Enable Azure Site Recovery protection and choose your replication group.
This will trigger provision to logical units which are used for ASR.

Deploy directly to cloud

Choose Hyper-V host

Start provisioning
ASRParttree007

After provisioning is done you can see from ASR portal that VM is protected

and DR site Hyper-V cluster has replica created

Second scenario: Move existing VM under ASR Protection

Add VM to cloud

Start migrate VM
ASRParttree011

Make VM HA, Protect VM and select correct Replication Group

Browse to one of CSVs which is used for ASR

Start migration

after migration is done you can see from Azure Site Recovery view that VM is protected
